During the 1930s BBC radio producer Val Gielgud (brother of the actor Sir John Gielgud) scripted a film set in the BBC's newly opened headquarters Broadcasting House. Using his contacts, he received permission for it be filmed in the studios, making 'Death at Broadcasting House' essential viewing for anyone interested in 1930s radio:
