Friends,

I have a very nice condition Bates brand cafe racer leather jacket in a tan color.

The measurements are as follows:
Shoulder to shoulder 17.5 inches

Shoulder to cuff 23 inches

Pit to pit 21.5 inches

Length 26 inches

This jacket is a very trim fit and small for me. I wear size 42. In my view, this is like a 38. This will fit fine for a person up to 5'10 with a 33 arm length.

The good: Nice leather jacket and thicker for this type.
The bad: Pocket zippers thread is coming off. Approximately two inches long. The lining has some stains but no rips or cuts.

Talon double zipper and conmatic zipper at the sleeves.
price $ 150 insured delivery in the continental US. Europe and Asia extra. I take paypal no extra charge.

Yea, if you see any used Bates these days and you like Bates, better grab it, because I can tell ya, ordering a new one from them these days is a torture... I'm sorry but I simply cannot stop myself writing this review of my phone experience with the lady today.
Got on the phone with one of the two ladies who run the shop. The nice one quickly passed me on to the other one who does the sewing and jacket creating. I asked about what leather they now offer for the terminator jackets and what the price would be. Man, it was a nightmare of a communication, I (the customer) was grilled and harassed verbally. First off, it went like this: "do you have something smooth and a bit shiny? Kinda like the Vanson leather?", "Vanson...too stiff, you can't move in them, for the highwayman you're gonna have heavy leather anyway... what, what's wrong with the German leather? For a high end item like this, you SHOULD go for the good leather..." (i had to cut her off) "yes, I agree, nothing against the German cowhide, it's just I want something smooth. You previously mentioned you could get the type Vanson uses, are you still able to?" "Why do you want Vanson leather? You don't ride motorcycle anyway, you can't move in it. You could buy Horween, those are really good stuff..." "Horween is nice, but I don't think I need it for this jacket, how much would it be? say the chromexcel steer?" "well, the price I buy from them would be the price you pay, and, come on! you know the price right? you know what you are doing, hahaha, come on, what are you saying eh? you know the price!" (I cut her off) "Yes, I know Horween would be expensive, and I just don't want to pay that much for this jacket..." (she cut me off) "why? why? what don't you want to pay for the good stuff? They make one of the best leather, they put all the work in it and they should charge a premium for it, why don't you want to use the best stuff for this premium investment?" (I started to get furious) "I don't know what you/we are doing here! I know they are good and nothing against their price, but i'm telling you I don't want Horween for the terminator jacket, just a good, smooth, stiff, black motorcycle leather would be fine!" "You want really heavy stuff? why don't you tell me how many oz?" (note, I didn't really say I want really heavy stuff!!!) "ok, anywhere between 3, 4, 5 oz would be fine, as long as it's smooth..." "THAT'S A BIG RANGE, that's a big range you are talking about here! Totally different, 3oz, 4 and 5 are very different." (I meant it as a range!!!) "alright, ok ok, fine, let's say 3.5oz, that ok? 3.5oz is pretty common for motorcycle jackets." (she suddenly calmed down) "ok, minimal 3.5? sure, I can make some calls... should be no problem." "THANK YOU!!!" (by that point i just want to hang up) "ok, thanks, i appreciate it and I'll be in touch via email, you can email me too when you find out."

Wow, Regius, if I had to deal with sales staff like that, I would have pulled out all my hair! My sympathies to you.

Back for trade if anyone interested. Images came up a little "colorful"? Actually the lining is much cleaner. Will retake if anyone is interested. I also can repair. I got good at it.
