This is a workhorse of a waxed cotton jacket that had been unavailable in the USA for quite a few years now.

It may be new-old stock, since the wax is fresh and the jacket appears unworn with absolutely no marks or flaws. As close to brand new as you'll find.

Designed with a roomy fit for layering. Thick cloth and more length than other Barbours to withstand inclement weather.

As mentioned, this jacket is generously sized. I feel it could easily work for those who wear a size 42. Please see the actual measurements below.

Chest: 24"
Sleeve (from shoulder seam): 24.5"
Length (from bottom of rear collar): 37.5"

I am thinking about getting this coat as well but having only tried the Border so far. This is supposed to be heavier waxed cotton?

Yes, it is a heavier waxed cotton. I have the Bedale and the Beufort and I find the Northumbria to be a heavier cloth. It's more "deluxe" in terms of robustness.

What size do you wear?

I have a Beaufort in 36 but i felt the sleeves are getting a little short when layered with a heavy sweater.
I've tried Border in 36 and felt the same and liked it more in 38 (fits more like a coat)
