I always found this to be a curious style.

It appears to be very '50's...maybe the hat you wore when driving a Nash Metropolitan or heading into a Woolworth's to buy your son a Mattel Burp Gun for Christmas.

Very natty. You're right though, it does remind one of Roger Kaputnik tooling around the parking lot of the King Kullen in Syosset, being bumped into, cut off, and b!tched out by fellow first-generation suburbanites until the trusty old Dr. Grabow drops from between his teeth.

I agree - sort of '50s, but also it brings to mind some TV spy shows of the '60s and early '70s. I think if you buy one of these, you're obligated to keep the feather in it.

We had a hat similar to that a few seasons ago by Stetson. The problem was that the crown was so low, it didnt fit right. The crown is less than 4 inches .
