Use it to ease the sting from a bee, mosquito bite or any other bug bite.
Just mix baking soda & water to form a paste and apply to the affected area.
Works pretty instantly.;)

You can use a little baking soda when you wash your hair to get all the hair products out.

The proper solution for using it as a hairstripping is:

1T baking soda
1C warm water

Wet hair down, pour baking soda solution over hair, rub it in as you would shampooing. Rinse. Shampoo hair with shampoo. Beware: use just alittle of shampoo, and then condition.

It gets rid of hardwater buildups in the hair (well water) and heavy hair products.

It's also great for soothing rashes and breakouts. If you have pimples on your body, you can mix some baking soda into your bath water. It helps clear them up.

If my drains are blocked, I put it down the drain and then pour vinegar down - works like a charm and fizzes up in a very satisfying manner.

I'm going to try it on my hair - we live in a very hard water area and since de-liming my shower curtain I've been rather concerned about how it must be building up on me - I'm in the water half the time the shower curtain is*!
