Bad spot in the brim of my fedora

Bruce Wayne

My Mail is Forwarded Here
I have a pure beaver fedora that has a bad spot in it. I contacted Optimo &they told me that there is nothing that can be done since the felt is on the stiffer side. I have tried ironing the felt with a clean dish towel in between but the spot isn't coming out.

I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanx!!!

It would be helpful to know what made the stain. With that information you may be able to determine what to use.On lots of fresh stains cold water and a dry white blotter often works.

I agree, it looks like you could probably trim the brim back maybe 1/4" to 3/8" and possibly get rid of the problem spot. If you could live with a slightly stingier brim, that would be the way to go.

The pictures tell only so much, but I gotta wonder if the right flange (and flange stand) -- used in concert with water, an iron (in lieu of a sandbagger) and a press cloth -- wouldn't do the trick.

Thats hardly a drop of spilled milk.

Why bother, Just get it out of your mind, and forget it.

something so small and arbitrary isnt even worth the bother, a blind man would be happy to see that crease.

Just flaunt the imperfection.

There is no such thing as perfect, that is an illusion and a state of mind that will always leave you dissapointed at the end of the day.

your hat is fine the way it is.
