B-15 question...Cockpit, or Alpha?

Who makes the best satin B-15? Cockpit also makes a leather version. I will guess Alpha as they were an original supplier to the US military.

I've handled both. The Cockpit is a nice enough civilian jacket on a military theme, but lacking in accuracy if that matters to you. Same for many of the Alphas - great quality garments, but if you're looking for accuracy of reproduction, that willvary markedly between lines.

Accuracy is not nearly as important as is the quality of materials and construction. Needs to look good, fit properly, and be warm!
