Awesome Luftwaffe jacket. If only I had the doe for it!

For how much did it go? Can't see it because as a German I can only see WW2-related auctions that are listed on the German Ebay, auctions on other Ebay sites are blocked by default.

Thanks, John. That's a lot of dough. And I don't even like the design... I like the private purchase Luftwaffe jackets much better.

Interesting! I didn't know that, but it makes logical sense given the lack of Holocaust Denial laws across much of the world. (It seems to me Germany has a much more practical approach to enforcing these than did, for example, the French courts in the LICRA case against Yahoo).

Edward, the problem is that all WW2-related auctions are blocked, not only the the ones where it comes down to Nazi devotionalia. I can't even buy period khakis or a US crusher cap. If someone offers a civilian vintage leather jacket and tags it "German" or "WW2" it's blocked. It's totally ridiculous.

Which is why I'm bringing a bag of WWII US gear over this fall to sell/trade.
It's sad for sure...

Wow, that's a bad case of censorship. Isn't that one of the reasons we don't like totalitarian regimes? I'd be surprised if people in Germany haven't made that connection.

@Rudie, it went for £1,383.99.

I really like these, maybe I'm just weird!

I find them very unique, cause they show a lineage with links them with 1930s flying suits, which may in turn have been influenced by British and American equivalents. And the result is this crazy thing with zipped sleeves and a cafe racer style collar stand. Much like the B2 in that sense.
