Awesome A-1 jacket w/emlem in movie ...................

Just watched the old black and white movie titled "Only Angels Have Wings" Cary Grant wears a BEEEEEutiful A-1 with the emblem of the post WW-1 103rd Aero Squadron emblem painted on the front in small form and large on the back, the jacket is a well cared for one and is awesome to see !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonder what may have become of this piece of history ?????????????????

Anyway , if you get a chance to see this one it is shown to good advantage in several scenes about mid way into the film .........
Just wanted to share this for you A-1 lovers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I lucked onto pictures of Cary Grant in the jacket. AND in helmet and goggles to boot. (Oddly, Howard Hawks de-glamourized Grant in the role...but it was for the best, and resulted in a grittier, more compelling film.)

In 1939 when the movie was made, you could probably find A-1 jackets in second hand shops, just like you can occasionally find modern flight and field jackets today.
