Thanks Philipp! I'm taller than you slightly (6'3) but quite a bit heavier, probably closer to 98kg. Broad shoulders and chest - I fear these jackets are cut far too slim. I hope not!

I look forward to seeing some measurements :)

Hi,

Please find below the size info of avi including sleeves.

Check this pic of a G-1 (Korea?) recently posted on the 'other' forum.
Looks pretty snug... and just like AVI's 55J14 G-1, rolls off the shoulders a little. This pic looks so darn close to AVI's jacket.

That's interesting about the sleeves. I'm 5'9" and 160-165 lbs. and normally wear a size 38 jacket and a medium, 15" collar, 32-33" shirt. I sized up to a 40 for the AVI Bronco and it fits almost perfectly, except for the sleeves, which are just a tiny bit short (no big deal). I still have some of my dad's clothes, a few pieces of which he'd had since he'd been in the Marines during the war. They fit me perfectly when I was in my twenties and was about 135 lbs., with the exception of the sleeves, which were always a bit short.

Haha lucky with these, yes. I would have loved a touch more length in the sleeves myself.
Why don't you email AVI with some specific larger size info, if enough guys communicate their concerns, the more likely they will make adjustments going forward. I mean, it took Eastman years to tweak their patterns and then, they've done it a few times since I have been wearing their stuff.
I'm sure you are correct in that the original is a 40 or 42 and they have graded it up. I recon your info would be useful for future jackets.
(regs sleeve length - I have always felt longer is better as you can trim a sleeve down and re-attach knit, but short sleeves are short and will only shorten with wear and creasing and theres no recourse... Err on the side of length!!!)

Hi Brett,
Morten used the original Bronco in size 44 as far as I know.
I have these photos from him.

Hey Guys, look what I just found on ebay.. It pretty much looks just like AVI's bronco A2, and it's even made from goat:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MENS-A2-...IGHT-CREW-BOMBER-MILITARY-BROWN-/282655147184
A bit confusing, as the headline says "Goat" and the description says "Made from Genuine and high quality Sheepskin Leather". It doesn't look too bad, but the zip, poppers (rather than snaps) and several other aspects let it down a lot. If it had more authentic fittings, no inside pocket and so forth, I think it wouldn't be a bad jacket at a very low price, even with VAT and RM costs etc.

but do you think it is the same jacket?

This seller is repeatedly seen in the use of someone else's photos.
Look at the label, it's the same photoshop! It is old AVIs picture from old AVI website ( in any case, part of them were exactly there before updating) with fake label.
What you will get - nobody knows, but I doubt that it will be "Bronco" :)

Hi all,
Morton from AVI LTHR has sent me a link to the CSR text they have published on their website.
I thought you may find it interesting. If anyone has any further queries, please contact them directly.

I also gathered that they have acquired an original Perry A-2 and will be reproducing this later in the year. I'm not sure of the specific contract or any other details, but am pretty excited to see how this one turns out.
If my Bronco is anything to go by, this should be another excellent addition to their line-up. Happy days!

Good choice, hope that the go for the 23377 (goat) and/or 16175P (horse), as the third contract was less well executed imho (no name, 1756).
