Authentic WWII?

Hi, I'm looking for advice whether or not this peacoat is authentic & how much it would be worth? I got it end of last year from a garage sale. Anchors & "Manufactored by..." Appear to be hiden under the stitching. Any advice is much appreciated, thanks!

Sure looks like it to me. The navy went to six buttons after the war.

What do you think about part of tag that is sown over not exposing anchors & "Manufactored in"? Does that effect its value? I'd prefer to not undu threading to see if whole tag is still intact, lol! I emailed couple people to get opinion on its value, but no word back yet. Seems they range from about $100-$300+. May I ask your thoughts on this, Mike? Thanks for the reply! )
