Yep, it's peeing me off too, Mike. It began today.

Hi Friends,
Any one else suddenly getting overrun w/ ads while signed in?!
This is with multiple browsers and I've re-set my password.
Really harshing my hat buzz over here!
Thanks!

I'd be interested in this as well. I keep watching vintage ones for tractor brands, but they always go high.
I got my own answer. I was digging thru Rothco web page to contact them directly and the head size is listed under the product under another tab.

7 3/4 is a pretty big head size.
So to stop the tedium I will either start a new thread or add to the Pith Helmet of doom thread.

Yes! I hate it ...

I'd almost pay a membership for them to stop.

Was about to say the same thing. Ad settings definitely got jacked into high gear. Some of them even float over link areas on my browser. Affects usability

I began paying that just before the FL stopped Tapatalk as a means of accessing the site.

I'm pretty sure that's where the FL people are headed. Just hope they get onto it soon and remember to give a discount to the regulars who have helped increase interest from the advertisers :)

Yep. I was willing to pay $10 a year for Tapatalk just to use on TFL so a reasonable membership fee and no ads sounds great to me.

Does anyone else think this way, or am I just slowly descending into hat madness?

After deciding that I didn’t need any more hats right now, I bought this Stratton (because it was blue and I got it cheap).

Immediately regretted it, thinking “the felt is going to be SOOOO stiff. I don’t even like 3” brims that much. And look at those grommets.” Mind you, I had noted those things before making the offer.

Thought “OK, I can steam the heck out of it and put some nice side dents in the crown, and maybe give the brim a little swoop...”

Then I thought “Maybe I should look into getting a block and just bring it back to open crown.”

Now I’m thinking minor conversion, add a nice hatband, get a stampede string, maybe even a new liner...

“Oh, those hatbands cost more than the hat. Look! I can buy the supplies and make my own...”

I haven’t even seen the hat yet.

Am I the only one who thinks this way?

Yep, it’s just you. I’m the personification of self restraint and reasoned logical decision making. Every hat I’ve bought was due to having a genuine need for it. :)

And I own three or four of those Stratton felt hats and I can’t remember when I last wore any of them.

20 years ago I started with just one hat....an Akubra......I now have a full custom hat shop in my house and formerly our guest bedroom now filled with hats and raw felts.........tis a slippery slope.

That's Stage 1.

Stage 2 is when you start having regular thoughts about your felt hat to straw hat ratio.
