Is it a dark gold/cognac brown ?

Also let me know if anyone is interested in a new Stetson saxon cordova in 7 38 in anniversary box. The color w brim size doesn't work for me only want to get back what I paid $89 shipped

Thanks. The mink looks lighter in your pic perhaps due to sunlight.
I found the cordova to be a rich deep dark brown too I guess they are similar then.

the Cordova is a much deeper brown ... almost black in some lights ...
the mink is like chocolate

I have been looking at open road hats came across this one it appears to be a open road but it isn't stamped as such also it doesn't have a X designation? what do you think and how old do you think this hat is? thanks

I think they were the go-to place for Stetson hat rebuilds so you often see replaced sweatbands, liners, etc. making it hard to date the original hat.

Correct,at least for some period they were an authorized Stetson R&R shop.I believe that a full refurb had a stamp inside the sweat "RENSH".
