I've been using Flickr for years and never had a problem. That being said Verizon recently bought up the operating units of Yahoo, so I don't have great confidence in the future availability of the free service.

ESPN viewership is shrinking & Disney would like to unload the network if the price was reasonable. Verizon is interested not because they want to get into the sports broadcast business, but because it would give them a ready digital network on which to compete with the cable TV networks that are getting into the wireless phone & internet business.

I have 2 Borsalino Fedoras and I'm wondering what the model of the hats are. On the inside of the black hat it says COD: 1122, COL: 0421, 14P002561. It has a 3 inch brim and a 4 1/2 crown 1 1/2 Bow. The brim is stitched not rimmed.

The Charcoal Grey is very very soft says COD: 4336, COL: 0511 15A000000. It has a 2 1/2 Brim, 4 1/2 Crown and 1 1/4 Bow. The brim is stitched not rimmed.

Greetings, Joel! You will likely be able to ID those lids by spending some time here, on the Borsalino Brotherhood thread, or by going here, to Bencraft or some other online vendor of Borsalinos. Should be an easy task.

Hope things are well in Riverdale. Zie gezundt!!

What parts do I need to set up a flange to reshape the brim of an Akubra Stockman into a fedora style brim? ...and where can I get them (the flange, not the hat)?

Hi All, does anyone know much about antique vintage derby bowler type hats? I've got a couple that are in great shape except that the original sweatband is coming loose. The sweatband is in great shape otherwise and the felt and ribbons are excellent, especially for being around 100 yrs old. I spoke with a milliner who said that when the old threads come undone that you can't sew them back, the entire sweatband would need to be replaced for about $40 but I don't want to do that. Also, the brim edge dressing is coming loose in one spot, it looks like the ribbon is only held in place with threads about every inch or so, but they're hard to see so I'm not positive about that. Here's a link to pictures of one of the hats... https://photos.app.goo.gl/G9PXtC5TWyMEI49t1 Please let me know if you have any ideas ok? Thanks, Darrel

How do you keep pictures from displaying sideways? They are the correct orientation on my iPad and iPhone. But on the computer some pics are sideways on the forum????

Pics from my new Samsung smartphone started showing up sideways and upside down, unlike my previous Samsung.

I found that if I edited and saved those pictures on my phone, and then uploaded them here or to my photo hosting site, they always appeared correctly here on the FL and on my laptop.

hello everyone, I recently bought this block that I believe is a style 52 even though it is stamped as style 25. Would more experienced eyes be able to help me out please?

doesn't look like any of the #52 that I have owned or handled

it is most likely what it is marked as

I'll dig up some photos of a 52 I owned so you can see what I mean

that being said there are so many subtle differences in blocks and the legendary mythical #52 is not the only straight sided block

this is a nice block but seems to have more taper than 52s that I have owned in the past

I thought I read in some thread recently about the years that Stetson was printed on the size tag like this,
IMG_5637 by Michael A2012, on Flickr
Can't seem to find where it was. Can someone either point me to that or do you know what years these tags were used?

Thanks,
Michael

it was pretty much always on the black keyhole tags like that but seemed to disappear on some in the early 50s for a period of time ... I believe sometime during or around the OPS era ?

that looks to be maybe a 50s tag? ... what hat is it attached to ?

maybe this thread will help
