Does it matter whether you tilt a fedora to the right or the left? Or is it just whatever feels comfortable and you feel looks ok? I've been tilting mine to the left, but I see on most pictures it looks like people tilt it to the right. Just wondering if I'm committing some sort of fashion faux-pas or if it really doesn't matter.

Some of us (me) have oddly shaped heads. If I put on a hat, and I mean any hat, and leave it alone, it eventually tilts left. Sometimes I leave it, and sometimes I readjust it, depending on who knows what.

My question fellow loungers is do you guys think this crown is to tall for me? I love this hat but wonder about how it looks with my build.

Can't really see your build, just your head and shoulders, but it looks good on you.

Just an observation, not a criticism: you wear your hat rather high up on your head. This can make the hat look taller simply because it is higher up in the air. But if it is comfy, then that's the way to go. Me, I like tall hats, too. I just wear 'em lower.

Has anyone tried those buffalo felt hats?

By "those" do you mean the Stetson American Buffalo collection?
I have a boss of the plains from that collection, but I think they call it by another name-- yes- the "Austral." I believe TRick also owns one.
I'm really happy with it. Very sturdy, rugged felt, and the sweatband is one of the softest and most comfortable I've ever experienced. The Australs come in basically a pecan colored felt they call "bark" but some other models are available in black I think.

I haven't tested mine in rain yet, and it doesn't get s much noggin time as some of my other, more urban hats, but I look forward to wearing it more and I actually happen to love the way it looks on the wall, too!

Anyone know when Stephen L. Stetson hats stopped using the liner with the black lines blanking out some wording?
If they stopped at all before stopping producing hats.

The crown sticker/label came out of my Akubra. Does anyone know what I should use to reattach it? The hat is unlined, just had the Akubra label in the crown. Thanks in advance for the help.

You got it! I saw one in a western store I happened to stop in. It sure was a rugged hat, far more than any I have. I believe the one I tried on had a cloth sweatband... though I'm not positive, I tried on many hats. I believe I also saw Akubra selling one through the David Morgan site? Anyway, it seems tough as nails, I may get one as a work hat.

I have an odd question... at least I think it's odd! How does one match their facial hair to their manner of dress? I tend to wear suits every once in a while, black suits with grey pin-striping and my grey homburg with a wide black band. I also have a very thick goatee (forgive me if I don't post pictures) that I trim and try to keep up occasionally. So, how does one match their facial hair to the way they dress?

I have a Stetson hat question. Does anyone know the difference between Stetson bullett gray and Stetson smoke gray?

Not sure about Stetson brand, but in others, Ritch Rand for instance, smoke has more brown in it; others are usually blueish or pale gray. Since bullets are made of lead, I'd suspect a hint of green might be evident, but that's just a guess.
