That´s good, your hat looks fine on you, the white is a color what is used by angels, is the best color, althought, I use others¡¡¡I am of the opinion that white is the most versatile color. It even looks good with a black suit or shirt.
This one of the Christy's Model might not be felt, but rather straw, and finally...

Yes, and the 2" brim as well. The bottom end is the max. Sometimes no bidders at all.Nips kill value. Expect half of a perfect version of the same hat.
Can I use zippo lighter fluid to clean a dirt, stubborn (I've tried everything else already) spot from the brim of one of my hats? The man at the hat store here in Rome suggested that. I know there's naphtha but I'm not sure if both are the same thing...[huh]
I've used lighter fluid with good results, not specifically Zippo, tho they usually produce top of the line stuff.
So should I just dampen a rag in fluid and rub it on the stain?
The hat shop guy suggested using cotton...

Just bought my first fedora for $55 US plus shipping!
Just curious, does anyone know of a modern production hat that fits these specifications?
ca. 2.5inch brim, bound.
Large, full crown suitable for a deep crease
Wide ribbon.
I can't afford to buy more hats, but this would be what I would want, and unfortnately it doesn't appear to be one of Akubra's offerings (although, a Federation without the dimensional brim, and with binding would be fantastic).
If I ever have the money, I will probably go vintage, but I was curious if there was anything out there, aside from custom, that fit this.
I used a q-tip soaked in the fluid to dab the stain out. If it is a large one, a white cotton cloth would work, like a handkerchief.
I have used a Q-tip dipped in lighter fluid with good results. Not infrequently clean water applied in the same way will also work wonders.
