Theoretically how many times can you brush your hat before you wear the felt thin?
After every brush or lint roll a noticeable amt of color does come out which upon closer inspection it is small hairs of fur.
Is it like your cheap sweaters where you eventually use the lint ball shaver once too much, and you end up w sweater cloth that is almost see-through when held up to light.
I suppose it depends on the hat. Are you brushing a wool felt hat? That would account for more residue.
I've had hats for years that I brush occasionally with a purpose-made horsehair hat brush, and I get so little residue on the brush that I can't see it unless I have my magnifying glass handy.
When I brush, I do it lightly, and not very often, as in monthly or so (?)
