Hey guys.
I will be in the Syracuse, NY area for the next few days. Leaving for the South on Thursday.
Anyway, any of you guys in this area?
Also, if you are but can't meet up, would you know of a good vintage shop in the area?

I have a vintage hat that needs a reblock and a new sweatband. The old band is cracked, dry and the stitching is rotted. Are there any recommendations on a good hat shop that can do the work?

Hi Gabe. We have several excellent hatters in the Lounge who can do this. Art Fawcett, Bond, Black Sheep Hat works, Northwest Hats...

But first, where are you? Perhaps you're near a hatter who can help you.

I have a Royal Stetson at Blacksheep Hat Works now.

NW Hats has replaced sweat bands in 2 hats, a Stratton Western and a Dobbs Temptation. Excellent work for not too many $$.

The two spots are rain drops, just came in from outside. The two wrinkles/waves in the sweat are from a overly thick business card I had shoved under the sweat... since removed and is not so noticeable now.

I have two more hats with Mike now. My daughter's Panama Straw is in for a leather sweat and reblocking to her size. Another fedora is in for a new ribbon binding.

Mike at NW Hats is my Hatter. He has replaced sweats/refurbished two hats for me to date, with a couple more in the queue in Eugene. I suppose there are competent hatters closer to Atlanta that would not involve shipping. Otherwise, send your stuff here to us in the Pacific Northwest, we (collectively the great hatters here) will take care of you.

Y'all do seem to have a higher concentration of great hatters in the NW than here in the deep south. I'm willing to ship but would rather patronize close by. Any fellow southerners have preferred hatters?
