I've only ever owned or handled one Hein Gericke jacket, their version of the Swedish military dispatch rider jacket. I still own it. Both leather, fit and construction quality is as good as any out there.
Practical jacket. For me, this baggy jacket works when riding my dual sport-type moto. Hein Gericke used to make excellent jackets in the '70s. During the '80s, they made excellent value jackets. I still have some of their HD line jackets. The HD line, sizing runs about 1/2 size smaller.

If the zip is original to the jacket, that is a very early 50's production. The repair on the bottom hole looks like it was done without the use of a gimp. However, the jacket looks very well done. The design kind of reminds me of a Californian. I have a nice Californian with those "football" articulations under the arms and the bottom back features. The belt loops also look Californian. But It could also be custom-made. Back in the day, they used to add details upon request. Cal and Trojan were known for that.
Hi
Maybe a Taylers Leather Wear Jacket.

Anyone have any experience with the older, wool lined Golden Bear cross zips? Reviews, quality of jacket. Nothing special, awesome? Any feedback appreciated. Thanks

this is an older label. This "wool" lining is typical of the early post war MC jackets made in the late 40s, prior to the advent of the Nylon lining c.1951. I don't see Golden Bears in this style or even with this older label. Most jackets made at this time were high quality no matter the label.

If this jacket is from Japan I’ve been looking at it for over a year now. it’s a great jacket, but used GB doesn’t command the respect in the used market especially in Japan and this one was always priced a bit higher. Had it come with the full label I’d already bin it. The construction method used is the nice type that’s very different than the later GB we see a lot on eBay.

Ooh nice, thanks. For me, don’t really care about having a full label. Hope it works out
