The close up pic looks bad but the second pic looks ok.

I have this type of naked raw leather jacket, used and new. I don't dare to look too close, it's the nature of the beast. If this is a RC A2 I'd say go for it. I got mine used (use level = B) and I have no regrets. If you are buying the jacket from Japan, anything above B grade would be a go imo. C grade and lower is where it starts to get a bit iffy and need close up photos or really low prices.

Yeah they mention 3 stains, under the collar/shoulder area, the abdomen one and one on the sleeves. the collar one looks the worst. Other than those the condition looks good and the price is low.

I sold a Schott Perfecto on Ebay. I guess I overlooked a defect in the jacket, as the seller sent me pictures of a hole resulting from loose seams in one armpit (see attached photos - genuinely didn't notice the defect when inspecting it, could've happened when I package the jacket, who knows). They would like to keep the jacket, but are requesting a partial refund for a repair. What's an appropriate amount to refund them? Thanks

Anywhere between 25% - 50% of the sale price seems appropriate to me.

Hello - can anyone help me assess the damage of this jacket based on these photos? Mainly trying to determine whether I should steer clear of purchasing it due to significant problems developing, or whether this is within an “acceptable” range and can be tended to with a bit of care. Keep in mind this is probably a 65 year old or so jacket. Thank you!

There's a hole in the leather. Hole cannot be tended with anything.

Anyone here knows the best way to darken or at least make a horribly pale beige leather into something a little more interesting?

I got this for my gf but she didn't like the fit and found it too heavy.

Fortunately it was advertised as unisex and I can sort of squeeze into it. The shoulders are a bit tight at 18" and the sleeves a bit short but it'll fit somewhat.

I tried a bit of Obenaufs LP but it turned a mucky brown not a nice golden brown as expected. I'm looking for nice golden brown like french fries but any decent looking brown will do.

Please help,

mawashi

Anyone know if FCL had different patterns on the same models for japan/us markets? Diff length/sleeves?

If different item number then different spec/pattern. Retailer specific or collabs usually have the same item number add the retailer code to the end of that. If the Western retailer is ordering a different spec than the JDM then the item number will differentiate.
For example, their Freddy jacket went from the typical Japanese slim fit to the bigger Japanese slim fit. Or like when RMC updated their J-100 they added a "1" in front of the old item number for the new cut.
The trick is finding the right item number. It's also a great way to search for used Japanese jackets, search by the item number, better than search in katakana sometimes.

Can anyone with a better eye than I (and more experience) tell me how bad this damage spot looks to them, can't get the any better photos of this area. Looks like the only bad spot on the jacket and I'm deciding whether to gamble or not.
