I found the picture of me wearing an ascot. (On an Alaskan cruise). I'm on the right.

Hi guys, I just received 4 ascots from my grand fathers collection of things and decided to wear one into the office today. Looks kinda dapper, with my blazer and slacks.

Interesting - just out of curiosity, how did the ascot go over in the office (comments, etc) and what line of work do you do that allows for that type of "high style" (generally, office environments can be pretty stale, fashionwise).

Another Ascot Outfit

If you don't mind my indulgence? One more Ascot outfit. Sorry if two of these pictures are sideways. Thanks.

Proper Attire for "Burning Man"...

I wore one constantly at the Burning Man festival when we went a couple of years ago (a huge, artsy week-long festival in the middle of the Nevada desert, for people who are saying "huh?"). It's an alkalai desert so the dust is very drying; the ascot kept it from getting inside my shirt. I spent the week wearing khakis, a linen shirt, an ascot and a panama (a cheap one!) and felt cool(ish) and comfortable the whole time. (and, yes, I got called Indiana Jones more than a few times so I went to a workshop on how to crack a whip--given by a dominatrix from New York!! I now tell people that when I get comments!)
Shindeco:
Got any photos of that outfit that you can post?
Can't believe you wore that to "Burning Man".:cheers1:

That's a pretty good pic, but I can't tell the color of your ascot. It looks dark, I had pictured something lighter for that kind of weather.

Looks good! Definitely got that casual but not sloppy look and the ascot fits right in!
Thanks again for the pic!

Im a consultant for a large bank, and although most guys dress business casual, I dont. I wear 3 piece suits, ascots, hand tied bow ties ,braces and fedoras when the weather here in Cleveland calls for it. I have always just wanted to do my own thing dressing wise.

Bravo!

Great work chaps

Gotta say Shindeco you look great, and Feragamo I like your style too.

I was in Cleveland in October last year and saw a well dressed guy wearing a bow tie in the Tower shopping center (or should that be mall) - That wasn't you was it Feragamo?

You guys have great style (in fact most of the guys in the lounge do) and I admire that you don't worry about what the mainstream thinks. Keep it up!

Cheers
