Just awesome, Bob! I’ve had that second hat you posted flagged for future use (replicating the sketches in my sketch book) for several months. Very happy for you, a truly unique oneuvakind!
Nice that you have the communication with Mr. Brown to keep with the hat.

According to the book "Paintings of the Southwest", on page 28 it displays this painting, titled "The Dry Ditch", and cites the year as 1964 just in case anyone might be interested. Wonderful use of "light" and "shadow" in Mr. Adams' work, and a sort of stylized realism that I find interesting.

You're very welcome. I hadn't seen that particular piece before and liked it, so I thought I'd dig a little. Thanks for digging up the details Al.
Great sketch by your nephew. I love this stuff.I was digging in my hard drive, through about a million pictures, when I found this. A sketch my nephew did of me a LONG time ago, gotta be almost 20 years. I had forgotten he did it. Time flies. Whether you’re having fun or not.

That's some really cool artwork. There's some real talent right there.I was digging in my hard drive, through about a million pictures, when I found this. A sketch my nephew did of me a LONG time ago, gotta be almost 20 years. I had forgotten he did it. Time flies. Whether you’re having fun or not.

I wonder who won the race; my money's on the horse.
