Artel Hats - Anyone ever hear of them?

They could be added to the List Of Classic Manufacturers thread. I was watching an eBay auction for this Artel hat in 7 5/8. I ended up completely forgetting about it, and I'm wondering if I should regret my lack of attention since it went for so low at such a great size, or if I should be happy for my neglect because it's not a good hat.

So tell me, Fedora Lounge -- how do I feel about this? Am I glad or upset?

Meh, dunno. Personally I passed because the crown looked too tapered from the front.

As a brand handled by Dorfman-Pacific (basically a low-priced, wool-felt merchansider), it might have been a more upscale option.

I owned an Artel hat. It was the Indiana Jones style before Indiana Jones movies. It was exquisite quality. I wore it everyday for over 9 years, then walked out leaving it in a café in Leadville Colorado. Personal events prevented me from returning to get it and I've looked for a replacement for 20 years. This is the first mention I've heard of them. Obviously out of business
