ahhh, went on a Tuna fishing charter Scion...about 20 miles out the ocean got so rough the Capt. decided not to risk it & fished for rock fish instead. It's still better than getting kicked in the head but had my heart set on the fight offered by Tuna. Had to reschedule for another trip..( oh darn :D )

Shame to hear that, though hopefully better luck next time. Though, were you still successful with the rock fish? Any good catches?

I'm not sure if there is an exact term ofr this bow treatment but it is basically a "pleated bow". In this case, the pleating reverses direction of the pleat so that the fold on either side of the center faces center ( does that make sense?). Just something I have played with over time as I'm sure I've seen it on a vintage lid in the past. It's sortof a pain to do, but makes a diffence in the end product.

Been out of touch this summer. Sat down at the screen for more than 30 sec., saw that hat and slowed dowwnnnnn..... wow. Is it possible to see any more photos of this hat? Please? I really fell in love with the lines/color/threat of softness. Been waiting for a hat to really knock me down-and I think this one may have done the deed. Art- you're the best!
Thanks for sharing that hat with us/me. After the 97 degree high for tomorrow, will be earnestly wearing lids again. Miss 'em. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
