Those are quite nice; I especially like the brim and wide ribbon of the one the right in the first photograph. Pray tell, what colors are those hats?

The one on the the right is a "Wall Street" I just lowered the crown a bit to suit my face. The one on the left is a custom, based on Joe Fridays off of the old dragnet TV show. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1786746880/nm0916131

The craftsmanship that went into producing this hat is phenomenal. I wanted something just a little different so I asked Art for suggestions. He recommended going with a lighter weight hat body, ribbon binding on the brim. So I left the color choice of the ribbon for the crown and brim to Art. So it is with great pleasure that I show you my first Art-Lite.

The hat is done in a light weight Dark Moss

The ribbon and binding are done in a matching dark green color.

The recognizable signature of Art in the ribbon: a splash of red in the center knot of the bow.

The work of Art sports a Diamond bash.

Notice the hat card that Art included in the supple leather band along with my initials.

My wife liked Art's Hat so much she told me that I could only order custom hats from him . Well I guess I will just have to suffer with ordering custom hats from Art This hat will see a lot of use and I have already ordered another work of Art.
I guess now I am full fledged Art-a-holic with no end in site

D, Orders are taking about 10 weeks these days, I believe.Which is fine by me, the anticipation is part of the fun for me. I think I am going with the style of your blue one, dimensions and the diamond crown. But I am leaning toward Silverbelly with grey and/or tan ribbon work and possibly an orange accent color on the bow. I think a wider, whippet style, bound edge. My wife wants me to get one in Blue Smoke, but I am puting that color on the back burner. Atleast that way I know I will get the approval for a third VSlol lol lol lol But I haven't discussed the hat yet with Art, just got myself in line

Moss Green w/ dark green ribbon. It is a pure "Sportaire" as Art designed it. 5 1/2" crown, 2 3/4 brim, 16 ligne ribbon. I will try and take more pics.

All right, I know I'm a few weeks late on this question...

Here's my new Panama from Art:

I must have missed this one before (it has been a hectic summer), but HatDoc do you mind posting the dimensions of the crown and brim (or Art, if you remember)? I'm hoping to pick up an unblocked panama next time I'm in Ecuador, and I really like the way this one looks.

I think between the (vintage) silhouette and the ribbon Art knocked it out of the ball park.:eusa_clap

I like the look of your Montecristi. would you mind telling me where you bought it? I''ve been looking for one for myself. It wil lbe my first fedora. What grade is it? I don't know where to start.

^Thanks. It's a Montecristi body that Art Fawcett had and then blocked for me. The grade/wpi is not very high, but it's a nice even weave, and just a great hat. I wore it both yesterday and this evening. I love it.

Either contact Art directly to see what he has by way of bodies in stock or contact Panama Bob (do a search on this site). You can buy a body from him and have Art (or others) block it. I've done both and am happy with both.

Not very high, ~200 or so, I think. I posted an early pic with a measuring tape. I'll see if I can find it.
