Thank you Alex.

Tommy, they appear to be 10 point stars. I just asked Art to do some small airholes of some kind, that's the design he chose.

Thanks Neo.

Very nice! I remember enquiring about perforations a few years ago, and Art had mantioned he only had a star pattern. I imagined more of a western design, but that does suit a fedora very well. Great piece. Bravo

My new Silvermist featherweight. Identical ribbon work on each side.

Nice, Link. Cool ribbon idea and I really dig the star vents. Here is my latest VS, Barnstormer:

This instantly became my favorite hat after I creased it. Art is amazing.

Viper and Link, GREAT hats!!

For me, now, the question is...what am I going to get next? I'm considering a montechristi with a Carolina blue ribbon. That, or perhaps another Milan. Maybe the chocolate color with a copper ribbon. Decisions, decisions...

Thanks, guys. Yes, Wiser, this is Art's Blue Smoke. It's a great color but it shifts hues in different lighting. For example, it looks really blue in these photos but they were taken outdoors in the shade with no flash and I'm wearing a blue shirt (which I believe influenced the color as well). You can tell there is more blue in daylight temps because under incandescent lighting indoors the felt looks decidedly gray.

By the way, I ordered the Barnstormer with a 2 5/8" brim as opposed to the standard 2 1/2".

looks awesome! so would that brim put this hat in the realm of OR specs?

Thanks, man! From the research I have done here at FL, I'd say yes but I can't really say for sure as I have only owned one vintage OR & it's brim was just shy of 3" (2 7/8"?). I guess I just prefer 2 5/8" lately. In addition to my long nose, I'm 6'-2" and 215 lbs. and these hat dimensions just seem right to my eye. [huh]

agreed. Not sure if it would be the hat for me, but in the abstract those colors would be great together. I think I saw a few old Stetsons on ebay recently that sported that sort of color combo, and it really drew my attention for a minute. very sharp.

My Mallory Ten is a deep chocolate brown (very dark) with a ribbon that was originally brown but has faded to a very copper like color. Love that combo!
