Cliff,

That is everything all rolled into those pictures....

Definitely would love to see a noggin shot when you have the time...

For you OG. Now I don't want to hear that you've used this as a target. :D

The last shot of the seasons for my new carcoat, I've already removed the short sheared shearling (say THAT three times fast) collar. Soon, even without the sheepskin collar, the coat will have to go away 'till the Fall.

Perfectly proportioned for you. How tall is the crown with that bash? Do you know how tall it is open crowned?

The completed DT bash puts the front crown at 4 1/2 inch/ Art told me he started with a 6 inch open crown to get the DT. My other Art hats were 2 teardrops, one diamond, I just wanted something different, something a little special.

Very nice.....

A shame to part the coat and hat, they go very well together...........

Well, I can wear the coat minus the sheepskin collar for a little while; 'till the temps make it uncomfortable. But, even though the Vanson coat is uninsulated, it still weighs almost ten pounds. It's like donning armor. :D

Here's my newest hat from Art Fawcett. It's a rust fedora with a double teardrop and 2 3/4 inch brim; it has a great 16 Ligne triple arrow bow treatment. It's currently sitting atop my artmade hat block.

For anyone interested, the rust color is another of Art's wonderful, hard-to-define colors. I honestly don't know how he comes up with these different custom colors on a regular basis. Must be talent. By the way, the hat blocks are a fantastic new addition to his offerings.

That looks great! We need to plan a New England Art Fawcett gathering. There are a couple more local guy floating around this thread.

Hey all your lurkers on this thread - if you live in New England and would be up for getting together somewhere in the Boston - Worcester area, please PM me.

Thanks Kkaderly, see page 449, post 4486 for the noggin shot. Regarding the double teardrop (DT), I wanted something just a little different. I already have teardrop, diamond, center creases, so I spoke to Art and together we decided on trying a DT. I think it maybe his first, but I'm not positive about that. Anyway, it came out just great and I'm very happy with it.

I can't take credit for it KK, I first saw it when our own Jimmy the Lid ( JTL) did it a while back . When in Texas last month I asked him how he did it but never got around to the demonstration. It's officially called the "JTLDT"

Univibe...I might be talked into a fall visit..haven't been to Boston in at least 15 years.
