Not sure if this helps Brent, but one shot with sun on it and the other in the shade, both on my front porch with afternoon sun. I really don’t think either pic shows the color correctly. The one in the sun looks somewhat washed to me. But here they are for what it’s worth.

Thanks for posting Robieman. It looks to me that the shade pic is closer to the actual color but boy is it tough to get right.

Just arrived, sent an old vintage montecristi to Art for a "remodeling". Its amazing, the old patina of this old beauty really stands out now. It came to me all beat up with no sweatband and Art worked his magic again. Not sure the thread count but it feels like fine linen. Thanks again Art.

Fantastic, Ken. A real gem, now. What colors are the ribbon and highlight?

In some pics the ribbon looks maroon, but others make it look more rust or copper colored.

I'll answer for him Tukwila, it is called "Tree Tan' and is a brown with just a hint of pinkish/orange in it. I haven't used it before but will again in the future.

Yes, thanks Art. Absolutely love the ribbon. Sorry, the photos kinda strobe the ribbon with zebra like stripes. It is such a cool old hat with an amazing old time patina. I'll try later to get a better picture of the ribbon color with a different camera .

I like leaving those details up to Art. He knows what colors he has and if I were to say "just put a dark brown ribbon on it" I'd be missing out on all the hidden treasures Art has hidden around his shop. Plus, his experience and craftsmanship are what makes the hat shine. Thanks Art.
That is my favorite style of Art's highlights, too. What color is the highlight?

Love the crease you went with. I think it really make it look even more special.

I can't think of a better place to document a hat I recently made for a Blues Icon who I cannot name as I promised not to use him in any publicity. I borrowed a design from Michelle Poyer Sleeman and did it in Camel. I think it came out great, but you be the judge, View attachment 185280

Oh my! I don’t know if “great” is emphatic enough! Very nice, Art.
