A used VS Milan I took a chance on but it turned out to be one size too small. Bummer. This 7 1/2 is now in our classifieds.

This hat has convinced me that I need a real Milan for this summer...such a nice hat.

Hello Gents, It has been a long time since I've posted on the lounge. This was my last VS creation from 2016.

Cabernet felt with a gray ribbon. Raw brim, measures 2 1/4 inches. Crown measures 4 1/2 inches from brim to the top crease (the dip). Red Satin lining.

I named it "The Devil's Cut," after my favorite Jim Beam whiskey. (Yes, I know Art already has a Black Cherry Hat available for sale with that name, but I like it just for me.) I told Art I wanted something devilish and he delivered. Deliciously wicked.

This Art Fawcett Milan arrived today. It's basically the "Landman" with a wider 3" brim and a custom ribbon treatment. The ribbon treatment is what I did to a Stetson a couple of years ago. I liked it so much I did the same to this straw. This wheat color golden hue is fantastic.

Love it! Now for the head shots!

Rick is making me a Milan this spring and I’d be over the moon if it was as nice as this. Congratulations.

You beat me too it, Bill. I have a felt on order from Art and I've got to get in the queue for a straw too before it's too late.

Wearing this work of Art Fawcett on this St. Paddy’s Day. I graduated from ball caps when after years of visits to Central Point my wife and I walked in to Art’s shop on a whim. Now I’m hooked with this one, a Panama, and one on the way for me and one for my bride.

We loved Central Point and when Art moved there we had two reasons to visit. Our first love is the Rogue River Creamery....best blue cheese selection this side of the Atlantic.

It’s a beautiful hat.
I received my Milan from Art about a year ago and other than the ribbon treatment it’s identical.
I love it.
Is Art still doing Montecristi Panama hats? I thought he was having some issues with the source quality a while back but am not sure.

Well, after the Worth and Worth black hat fiasco, I did what I should have done the first time: ordered one from Art. Today, I got the perfect belated birthday present in the mail, a custom VS Dualist! It's a little bit like the black Stetson I also just got back from Art, but also inspired by an old Stetson that Justin posted some time back. The vintage Milan eBay hat ended up being just too small (and slightly faded) so Art ended up using his own straw. The sun is out today, though it's not quite straw season in the bay, but I'm definitely ready! Thanks Art, it's fantastic!

Edit: different pics, because hats always look better on a block.

Thanks all! I know the forum regulars know, but if there are any lurkers out there who may be on the fence about the custom hat plunge, you won't regret getting one from Art.

Real nice hat you got there. The storm trooper looks a bit envious!
