Ok, it's here!

Lightweight black cherry felt, suede finish, 2 1/8" brim. Two notes: first, apologies for the lint, these dark felts show every little bit, and I didn't have my hat brush at work with me. The second is that this hat is VERY hard to photograph true to life. I took some shots outdoors in the shade and some indoors. In full sunlight, the hat looks black!

Closeup of one of Art's two color bows. A nice and very simple contrast. I told Art to surprise me with the bow.

Here's the brim stitching Art did with just a bit of contrast. I love it!

This indoor pic really highlights the purplish undertone and how it's brought out by the suede finish.

Side profile with a bit of reverse taper in the front.

The Brim stitching is the perfect color as well as the ribbon same color as mine.....

Just my two cents, I think you can carry a wider brim than 2 1/8, but maybe you should not mess with success - that hat looks great on you.

Bert, Che, John, thanks for the kind words! Art did a fantastic job.

2 1/8" is actually on the shorter end of the brimmed hats that I wear, I'm usually right there around 2.5"; but, I find that 2 1/8" works really well in casual and dressy situations. I wanted a hat that I could do with my everyday wear, but also grab for a night out on the down, and this one is just perfect for that. Sometimes you just don't want to wear an Open Road out to a bar (at least not many bars in San Francisco ). So for me, this brim length is kind of a Goldilocks thing, not too stingy, not too wide.
