I just got back from a two week art camp (MSCA) at Salisbury University
I finally got a chance to work on a larger scale.

and I made this with a friend of mine when we made a field trip to MICA.

A couple little problems with it, but we only had an hour to make and edit it.

This one's a work in progress, but it's pretty much to the point where I'm just fiddling and fixing. It may be a while, though, before it's actually "done".

As I'm looking at these paintings, it occurs to me that the subjects remind me of the work of Bert Monroy.

I can't say why, but commercial architecture and signage, especially when it's well-worn, fascinates me.

Me too.
It interests me how so many of these old buildings, which have come into contact with so many people, can disappear so easily, and that, once abandoned, they can decay so quickly.

Bridgeton NJ Caboose Diner

Hi Dinerman,

You might be interested to know that there are a few good diners in Bridgeton, NJ. One of them is this little caboose called Angies Diner. They have great food, and it is very old fashioned on the inside. The other one there that everyone whose anyone goes to in town is the Golden Pigeon (nicknamed "The Dirty Bird") Great chicken pot pie!!!!!!
