Well I almost hate to pollute the thread with my pics but here goes, it became pitch black and the sky just opened up. You can see tank looking on in one photo as if to ask if he should run and poop in the basement now. It's a very nice jacket but just too short for my comfort level as a casual jacket. As a riding jacket I think it's pretty brilliant. Especially when fully closed. The oversized lapels create an absolute wall of thick leather in front and the collar can be snapped down on both sides. I agree with Carlos that mobility is quite good, which is surprising given the plain back. The massive two way Talon is nice too but I'm not sure why it's there. I can sit down with it fully zipped and it doesn't ride up in the least.
I'll be getting some better pics tomorrow and throwing it in the classifieds or on eBay. I paid $179'for it which is a good deal for the quality and that's all I'll look to get back out of it.

Ton. Really; do you ever get tired of "winning?"
Congrats.

Looks like a GOOD fit to me......But I'm not the one wearing.
That's a great price too! steve

Agreed- looks like a perfect length on the front to me. The back is slightly longer than I would normally opt for in a short jacket, but that's the effect of the beaver tail that this style of riding jacket has by design - if used for its intended purpose, this can make quite a difference in terms of avoiding a draft on your back, especially if you tend to lean over the tank at all. Really nice design; I'd be tempted by one of these. Works well in both colours, too.

@ton312 that length looks pretty good from here but I can see why with those jeans on you feel like it's shorter than acceptable. Since the jacket was cheap (relatively) why not go the extra mile and splash out on some 50s style jeans that will sit higher up and marry better with the jacket? If this were to become a part of your '50s get up' then its inclusion in your rotation could be justified on these grounds. Lord knows we all spend enough time searching for reasons for our purchases and retentions, and in this case I can't help but feel like you are sitting on a very easy win

Man I'm not rocking a six pack...got myself a two pack at and a party ball, so jeans around my belly just aren't that comfortable!

Oddly, being a bit of a fatty myself, I find the opposite. Even in my early teebs long pre vintage I rejected Lee jeans (then, and until the mid 90s made locally in Northern Ireland) because they were all hipster cut, which I found desperately uncomfortable.

@ton312 , what's funny is that it fits you better than any of my jackets fit me. I mean, I can see why you aren't happy with the fit, it's not the HB but man, if I'd scored a jacket that looked this well on me, I'd keep it.

Seriously nice jacket, in any case.

Thanks man. I don't know how many CHP's I've done literally the exact same thing with for the exact same reason....I don't learn. Or I just keep trying inspite of myself. I dunno.

Yes, it's time to break the cycle and - as someone said already - just buy yourself some nice jeans with a decently high waist. ;)

Carlos, Apparel Annex was a small custom leather shop located in North Seattle on Aurora Avenue. I lived a few blocks from them and in 1973 I bought one of their jackets to go with my brand new Magna 750v4. Two sweet ladies designed and made the jackets right there. I still have that jacket and it looks like new. They are certainly well made.
