I teach classes at the local library, and have learned of an App for iPad/iPhone (I have no idea what platforms are supported outside IOS), that, if your library participates, allows you to "borrow" movies (including classics), television shows (ditto), digital books and music, all free, via your library card number.

Hoopla is available, free, via the App store from Apple. Eleven "borrows" per month. Each has a limited time period. Movies, for example, you get for two days.

There are silent films, Film Noir, foreign language films, recent releases, etc.

For use on a desktop, laptop, etc, go to hoopladigital.com and create an account.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked it out and was pleased to find that the Toronto Public Library is involved. Just signed up.
