Anyone watch Thursday night football tonight?

During halftime there was a segment with 5 analysts on an outdoor set. Two had on flat caps, two had on fedoras and the 5 guy was hatless. He looked cold and out of place.

One of the Fedoras was a stingy brim with a stylish center denter and very wide ribbon. The other fedora was a bit wider and more classicly styled, but that particular analyst never got a close up so I couldn't get a good look at it.

No details on the flat caps? Were they patterns (herringbone, plaid, etc.)? How full were the bodies? Could you tell what material they were made out of?

To answer the question: No, I didn't watch it.

Missed that but did notice earlier today that a local reporter in New Orleans was doing a feed to The Weather Channel about their snowfall and he had on a very sharp black fedora.

Is it me or am I right in thinking that just a few months or a year ago it would have been baseball caps or stocking caps instead during the game and on the news?

They were solid black/charcoal grey in wool or cashmere with a similar cut to this cap:
