Sure doesn't look like Herbert Vere Evatt to me. Besides what would he be doing selling war bonds in the USA?
I think my suggestion, Mary Todd Andrews, though weak, is the best so far for the lady, and the two other guys who aren't Dada Andrews are still totally unidentified. Where did you get the idea that the woman was Carole Lombard? Was it someone sponsoring this contest? If it was, then that blows their credibility to smithereens. I repeat: Vintage Betty, where are you?

Hello everyone! I am knew to this board and wanted to chime in on this photo that is in question. This photo was taken in Frankfort Indiana at Ingram-Richardson Porcelain factory in 1942. That is Dana Andrews in the photo. However, I am not too sure about the woman being Carole Lombard.

How do I know this is Dana Andrews? Our local library has some vintage photos that I was looking through one day. I came across another photo taken in front of this factory on the same day as the one in question. It was a close-up shot and it shows Dana Andrews with the lady pictured. It is a different view and a very good photo. I will see if I can get a copy of it from the library and get it posted on here.

Here is the same photo used in a magazine.
