I wish that's all they cost new over here (often double that, alas!). I do often baulk at the price of sunglasses nowadays, though they're probably no more expensive than equivalent prescription spectacles. I suppose that I accept the price of specs more as they're a necessity, while shades are more of a luxury for me (only worn with contacts). Actually, the shades are more of an investment as they on't ever need relensed save in case of damage (as opposed to changing prescirption potentially every two years).

Sunglasses are a way of life for me. I am sensitive to light and w/o sunglasses in bright sun I get migraines. Si keep several pairs of glasses around. The problem I have with almost every pair of shades I see is that they do not fold up and fit nicely in your pocket. I hate that bulge they leave in your shirt of coat front pocket.
