Im looking to make a jacket and im a big fan of the alpaca lining used on N-1 deck jackets and a handful of other garments from wwii. I was wondering if anyone could point me towards a source of this fabric, it would be much appreciated.
i have some small scraps of the fabric from a pair of original A-11 flight pants i modified into shorts so i can show and document the fabrics properties.

Heres a shaved spot so you can see that this is a woven fabric.
I don’t know the exact composition of this fabric. it could be anything from 100% alpaca, to a blend of alpaca and other wools, to an alpaca cotton blend or (admittedly much less likely) alpaca linen blend. all i know is there are no synthetic fibers as per the burn test shown here.
