I didn't kno u ordered one of hers. Nice! I'm curious and lookin fwd to see what u asked her to do. I've really been waiting to see if she can block some big fat crowns with little or no taper...

I asked for light gray body with burgundy ribbon. I wanted a bound brim that matched the body, but I think she misunderstood, so the bound brim matches the ribbon instead. Makes the subtle traditional fedora I was going for a little bit more "flamboyant" (but hey, I live on the edge). There's also some interesting stitching running through the ribbon. My guess is she did this to give it the added width I requested. So overall, the hat is a bit more "unique" than I had imagined, but I really like how it turned out. I requested 5 1/2" open crown with teardrop and a 2 1/4" brim. I don't think I specifically requested tall and straight crown without taper. But this looks close enough for me. Here's the pic she sent me. I'll post more when it arrives.

That looks great. I didn't know when i ordered mine that she could do the bound brim.
the colours make it look handmade rather than storebought.
guess i'll have to order another.
i'll need more brim though to shade my aquiline proboscis

Thanks Bob! Committing to your own set of colors and specs is very stress inducing, so I'm glad to get it for the price I did. I can't imagine committing to a VS. I'd lose so much sleep.

Wlcm. Anything over $200 is pushing my price point button VERY hard.

The first one was bunny. The second with the copper ribbon is beaver. They're both great, but the beaver is softer and just a touch lighter.
