I think we ordered ours about the same time. I ordered mine the 13th, and was informed it shipped on the 27th. You first indicated that yours shipped on the 21st, I think. Hopefully, mine isn't too far behind yours!
I'm thinking of getting a western open crown from Daquino hats and converting it to a fedora so I can work with fespa felt.

They sell felts with some problems, like dyeing problems or inconsistent felting, cheaper.I did notice on the FEPSA website that they sell "seconds." Which immediately raised a red flag. Hmmm... whose using them...?

Yes, and I wonder who buys and uses them...?
If you're implying Luisa does, it would seem that the testimony of her customers thus far suggests that's not the case.
I emailed her about getting the hat open crown.I was told about 15cm in height. Her westerns have only a 4.5 inch open crown?
No I'm not implying anything at all. Just wondering and asking who buys, uses and sells seconds...? And not just FEPSA 2nds. What abt all those OTHER hat body seconds...?

People who are learning how to make hats?
With so many possible models and yet you have to convert a western...I'm thinking of getting a western open crown from Daquino hats and converting it to a fedora so I can work with fespa felt.
I don't know. They usually stay there for quite some time.Yes, and I wonder who buys and uses them...?

Maybe the "hat museum" so they can show how hats were made.
Or... maybe how hat bodys were not supposed to be made...?

Yes,It's a hobby.I enjoy converting hats.
Because I'm not a felt expert, I don't know how bad those seconds are. From the pictures, the dyeing problem ones are almost invisible.
The ones with a weak crown maybe are still usable to people who like to shape their hats too often and don't use them on rough conditions.
Only if someone could get one and tell us those are acceptable.
