The label on this jacket is interesting because (between the words "Sports Apparel") it has the initials "HLB" with "Corp" written inside the lower loop of the "B". Of course, H.L.B. Corp was a major maker of mostly aviation apparel before and during WW2 as well as civilian clothing.

Recently I ran across a book on Google that lists a man named Harry L. Breslow as president of that company in 1940. Perhaps he was also the founder of the company and named it after himself? In which case, perhaps his middle name was Lawton and named this sports apparel line also using a family name?

Anyway, it is a jacket that I would love to wear myself.
