Any suggestions to how to remove paint safely...

paint stains

really give you bad headaches - try this: pour some conditioner on the stain (the most oily you can get) and break the stain in thoroughly. try to break the surface of the stain to let the oil soak in. leave the jacket and repeat if necessary. maybe wear it - it will take some time. after certain period the oil will soak the paint (of course depending on what sort of paint it is) and you might peel it off like rubber. do not scrub or scratch - the surface and colour will come off together with the stain. sometimes very very cautious use of terpentine works, but this is really dangerous (colour might come off).

if nothing works: overpaint with jacket colour (just a joke ... )
