Pembroke Dock was the only place in the UK during WW2 that had USN Floatplanes...

I'm a fan of flying boats / amphibs. I've had the pleasure of several flights on Wilson "Connie" Edwards' PBY-6A (N4NC) as well as his Grumman HU-16 Albatross (N226CG).

A great shame that none have survived :(, especially considering their huge contribution they made during the war (often, sadly, forgotten - along with the brave civilian pilots that flew them)

I like the phrase: Flying Boat Interpretive Centre.

I am greatly enamored of flying boats. Nothing to do with WWII however - I like 'em all, the weirder the better.

I'm quite fond of the RCAF Sunderland from Squadron 423J which sank U-610, which in turn had killed my grandfather in March '43.

Don't forget the Grumman Goose! A real classic, and Gooses, [yes thats what a squadron is called] are still working for a living! Safe to say there are more of the Long Island water foul flying then any other flyingboat type ever made.
