Any info on these bookends??????

Hi,
First post so please be gentle.............

we just started collecting a few bits form the deco era, we picked these up today from a local car boot for only £10, just wondered if anyone had any knowledge of these??.....approx date/mfr etc.... theres no markings on the marble, they appear to be in good condition, each one weighs approx 2kg.........

Try coming over to Specialist Auctions dot com. They have moderators in each category of items sold there and they have a valuation section where you can get someone to take a look at these for you and give you an idea what they are worth. You just need to join (it's free) and they'll take a look at the pictures for you. Good luck.

Wow.

The stone that looks kinda light green with the light lines thru it has been used for a lot of desk set stuff. Like pen holder bases or letter opener handles, usually where there is an entire set of desk top items. Looks cool, can't remember the type of stone, although i want to say soapstone.
