Any ideas on the makers of this jacket? (pic heavy)

Seasons greetings, fellas and fellarettes.

I'm pretty useless on eBay, but did manage to win my very first auction on this biker jacket for a whopping £30. It arrived today, and I'm in two minds about it. It fits fine, the leather seems decent, but there's something a little off I feel.

Whilst the leather seems thick, it does have an air of "cheapness" about it. Or rather a mall/high street style vibe. And is it me, or is there a tint of green to it? Also, there's no leather smell... at all. I don't know if this is because it's being heavily deodorised, or if that's another sign of "not up to par leather".

Anyway, I'm not too concerned given how cheap it was, but there's no indication of the maker of this jacket. The only label it has is that "Real Leather" one. The eBay seller didn't have any details on the make either.

Any ideas?

Looks like your averge made in Pakistan mall jacket to me, the kinda stuff you would get in Brick Lane.
Probably not the gratest leather but i woud say that for 30 quid you did well, it looks decent and fits pretty well.

Hmm, yeah I was thinking it could be something along those lines. My only real issue with the fit is that it's a little baggy around the armpits - it billows.

But thanks for your input.

Looks pretty good on ya. Sometimes jackets that have been hanging up in a garage or laying in the back seat of a car for a while that’s a little damp get that hard to put your finger on green thing.
A dose of conditioner might get rid of it…

I think Carlos is on the money here with it being originally a UK market, Pakistan made jacket. The look of the hide and hardware says early 90s to me, by which time most British leather labels had gone or were going under. Quality for MIP varies, but there were some very good ones. The side buckles echo a very traditional approach for Beitish bike jackets, Brit bikers since the sixties being more likely to ride leaning over the tank, thus an American Perfecto style buckle was less appreciated and side buckles (less danger of scratching the tank) more popular.

Had a very similar jacket myself back in the late 90s, great memories kicking around in that. It still exists, now minus its sleeves and with a cheetah print lining....

Fit looks good. I always found with these cheapercjackets if you combed out a nice one, they really do improve with age.
