Any good hat shops in Montreal?

My sweetie and I are visiting Montreal this weekend. We both love hats, can anyone recommend a good hat shop on Montreal?

I don't know much about them Matt, but there is Henri Henri. If I was going to be in Montreal I would check them out.

ditto with Henri-Henri. Haven't been there but I picked up a cap made by them recently and it's excellent. Their website has a 360 degree panorama of their shop...looks interesting.

Henri Henri is really a lovely shop!!! The shop itself is beautiful, and the selection of hats is vast and eclectic, and the nice gentleman running the place was very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed talking to him.

mattface, if you are looking for a nice place for dining out with your "sweetie" I can recommend a place in Old Montreal called "Gibby's". Good steak and seafood in an 200 year old building. If you are close to Henri Henri, you are close to Gibby's. I expect you would need reservations and it will be fine dining type prices. If you visit the Henri Henri website they explain the "Hat trick" expression of 3 goals in a hockey game. Enjoy your visit to La Belle Province.

Thanks Duper, we lucked into a place called Zero 8 which specifically works to avoid cross contamination for folks with food allergies, they make a mean burger and have no fish on the menu, so my sweetie was able to eat anything on the menu without being poisoned. We still need to find lunch tomorrow, this has been a wandering sort of vacation, so I imagine we'll wander into another wonderful unexpected place or two tomorrow.

Henri-Henri. Nice looking shop. Mostly Borsalino, Stetson, some Panamas and a couple of Akubra here and there. I was there last year, in october.

That's been my experience at Henri Henri and the last time I was there they were still using paper bills of sale - no computerized till for them! I keep planning to get back but from Toronto the journey to Montreal is long and boring (and I hate flying). Anyone from this forum who is going to Montreal should put Henri Henri on their "must visit" list.

Henry the Hatter in Detroit is like that too, and they both carry Biltmore as well. Jenny wonders what's up with Hat stores named Henry. I'm just glad that places like Henry and Henri still exist.

I'll add my $0.02, but it's all been said before. Henri Henri was where I purchased my first fedora. They were very helpful in helping me select one appropriate to my face and budget, while still letting me handle and try some higher priced items. All in all, a positive experience and anyone in the area should 100% check it out. Great brick-and-mortar shop with some great history.
