I wonder if anybody knows exactly when Stetson started using clear plastic in the liner? I have a few Stetsons that seem to be pretty close in age, and some have the plastic and some don't.

I 've had this hat for more than twenty years now and I have only worn it maybe twenty times. This one is in my collection side and so it does'nt get abused. The tweed and tie are both J.Crew. Unfortunately they don't sell trousers to match. I have a very hard time finding clothing and accessories I like.

I'd think that tweet jacket and waistcoat would go with several different pairs of trousers. Solid colors, methinks, in blue, brown or grey. I have a herringbone tweed sportcoat that's very versatile.
