Another Suit Dating Request

Having not had much luck in dating suits in my first few tries, I'm a bit more cautious now.

Anyone care to hazard a guess at an approximate date for this one:

Looks like a 70s item..

Feraud, is it the fabric or is it the cut and detailing - lapels, pockets, buttons, etc.?

There is something about the lapel shape(and lack of button hole), large pocket flaps, and buttons that look similar to pieces I have seen that are relatively recent. I would guess the jacket has a single but particularly looong vent in the rear.

Bear in mind this is just a wild guess based on the one pic and my limited experience. I am probably dead wrong! lol

Thanks for that. I was thinking 70s too, but with very little knowledge to go on except vague memories of noticing what people were wearing back then.

No, I was considering purchasing it. I'm still in 'training' as far as being able to recognize vintage pieces (defined as pre-1960), but something about this one didn't look 'right' to me.
