Well done !!! That is an outstanding job you have done there. :eusa_clap

That would be a very commercially popular design.

If you ever plan to make more, please put me on the list for an XL ! I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

Again, outstanding job :eusa_clap

That truly is an outstanding anorak, Costin Moga.
The L24 ventile is excellent fabric for building an anorak.
I have a New Zealand dpm camo smock in single layer L24 ventile, and I can assure you it is absolute waterproof. In summer, sometimes too hot...
Your anorak looks great. I like the idea of the repro buttons, though buttons of original Gebirgsjäger anoraks were made of glass of pressed paper. (But you did your research so you knew this already ;) ).
Again congratulations and enjoy wearing it in good health.

Hello everybody in my first post and please forgive me for my bad english (im spanish).

First:

Backpack: correct!. The backpack is the classic swiss army backpack in the second part of the film (the escape). In his first travel seems to be a Alice backpack. In the train station he wears a classic alpine wool sweather like this.

Here i go with the parka: I think you could modify a cheap swedish army smock like this:

Could be easy to change the position of the pockets and to dry him in cofee or sand color.

The Anorak i use most here in Alaska is a pretty well made Anorak. Thick cotton material breaks the wind. Room pockets I stuff full of kit.. I like the old look it has. Its actually American Eagle manufactured but basically retro in nature. I still have to replace the velcro with button fasteners though..

^^^In my opinion, other than the fact that this is an anorak, it has virtually nothing in common with the one Pitt wore. It does look like a nice one, though.

Does anyone know of a place that sells a vintage looking Anorak, something like the ones worn by Brad Pitt in "Seven Years In Tibet" ? I watched it recently and have had that look on my mind ever sence. I'm actually interested in the woven head gear too that's worn with the anorak, if anyone knows anything about it. Shoot I guess any and all the gear that Pitt (in particular) wears in the mountain is of interest to me...boots,etc. I think the backpack is probably a Swiss rucksack.

Hawkwood Mercantile sells similar looking anoraks.
