aniline vs. semi-aniline shinki

Does anyone have experience with semi-aniline Shinki? I am looking at getting a jacket from Field Leathers and I am torn between the "pony" semi-aniline and full aniline hides. Does the full aniline fade (tea core style)? Is the semi-aniline less quality and will it lose some of it's shine?
Thanks

the aniline is dyed black thru the core so no brown fades, it has no finish on the top surface of the leather so it's "naked" so it will soak up moisture rather fast when it gets rained on.

the pony hide is also dyed black/brown thru the core so also no brown fades with wear. it's basically the aniline leather that has a little oil/wax applied to the surface so it's glossy (the shine will go away with wear) and does a little bit better repelling water (it will still absorb moisture) and it's by no means an inferior option

you can't go wrong with either option really

I love my semi aniline from Himel. The grain is gorgeous and as mentioned by Jin431, provides some extra protection. It is my favourite of all HH.
