Now don't go gettin' your overalls in a twist. My great grandfather
was a farmer, too. Probably true of most of us (and probably should
be true again!). Here he is on his farm in upstate New York, a Jewish
immigrant finally able to own land:

Needless to say, the one on the left with the wide brim and what
I heard Nick Cave refer to recently as the "facial condition".

I'm not quite sure if it is a fedora. I'll have to look at the original some time.
I figure this photo must be from around 1910-1915, so that's pretty
early for a fedora, but not impossible. Glad you enjoyed it.
